## Description

Sole civil airport of Russia's Baltic exclave, Kaliningrad-Khrabrovo (KGD/UMKK) handled about 4.8 million passengers in 2024, ranking among Russia's ten busiest airports. It links the enclave almost entirely with the mainland — Moscow and St. Petersburg, flown by domestic carriers such as Aeroflot/Rossiya, S7 and Pobeda — on long detours over the Baltic Sea since EU airspace closed to Russian operators. There is no significant dedicated freight operation; air cargo travels as belly load on passenger jets. Most of the exclave's goods move by sea on the Ust-Luga–Baltiysk ferry link and by rail transit through Lithuania, the latter cut by roughly 30 percent in 2025.
