## Description

Unlike the highland freight fields of Papua New Guinea, Kerema handles no meaningful cargo: the airport serves the Gulf Province capital with regional flights, chiefly to Port Moresby, and has no freight terminal or integrator presence. Air cargo is limited to occasional belly loads on scheduled services. Larger consignments from the area are routed to the national hub at Port Moresby (Jacksons), about 300 kilometres east.
