## Description

Although Kenitra (NNA) is best known today as one of Morocco's automotive powerhouses — home to a major Stellantis assembly plant and the Atlantic Free Zone — its airfield is a Royal Moroccan Air Force base rather than a civil cargo facility. The free zone's vehicle and parts exports move by road and rail to the seaports of Tanger Med and Casablanca and to the Casablanca Mohammed V air-cargo hub (CMN). The base has no civil freight terminal, so air express for the area is handled at Rabat-Salé (RBA) or CMN. Earlier in its history the field served as the United States naval air station of Port Lyautey.
