## Description

International status does not automatically mean freight: Kalibo International Airport (IATA: KLO) is built around tourism, bringing visitors from China, Korea and other Asian markets to nearby Boracay. Despite its international flights, there are no dedicated cargo operators here, and air freight is limited to belly space on passenger aircraft. Larger or time-critical consignments for Aklan province therefore route through Manila or Cebu. Unlike the closer Caticlan airport, Kalibo offers a longer runway able to receive international jets.
