Jwaneng Airport (JWA, ICAO FBJW) has a single runway, company apron and no freight infrastructure: no cargo terminal, no scheduled cargo services and no confirmed customs post of its own. It exists to serve the Debswana diamond mine, a 50-50 venture between the Botswana government and De Beers that produces some 12 to 15 million carats a year and ranks as the world's richest diamond mine by value. Rough diamonds move out under tight security, normally via the capital rather than JWA.
