## Description

Set among the jungle lodges of the upper Río Napo, Jumandy Airport (TNW) lies a few kilometres from Ahuano in Ecuador's Amazonian Napo Province. Since TAME dropped its Tena route in January 2016 the field has had no scheduled service, hosting flying schools and general aviation instead. It holds no cargo infrastructure: goods for the Tena area travel by road, and any air export is handled at Quito, roughly four hours west. For visitors it is a gateway to rainforest tourism rather than a freight point.
