## Description

Hemmed in by cliffs that drop straight into the Caribbean, the runway at Juancho E. Yrausquin measures only about 400 metres — the shortest in regular commercial use anywhere. Just one aircraft type works it: Winair's DHC-6 Twin Otter, and only by day under visual flight rules. Freighters are out of the question, so Saba, a special municipality of the Netherlands, brings in heavy goods by sea through Fort Bay harbour. Mail and small parcels ride along in the Twin Otter's hold from Sint Maarten (SXM). For shippers, SAB is a pure island feeder with no cargo role.
