## Description

Jodhpur exports furniture, textiles and handicrafts to half the world, yet none of it leaves from the city's own runway. Jodhpur Airport (IATA: JDH, ICAO: VIJO) is a civil enclave on one of the Indian Air Force's key Rajasthan bases, handling passenger flights to Delhi, Mumbai and other domestic points with carriers such as IndiGo and Air India Express. A new civil terminal of roughly 23,400 square metres, sized for more than two million passengers a year, opened on 4 July 2026; it brings no dedicated freight handling, and the military setting leaves little room for any. Goods travel at most as belly cargo on passenger services. The Blue City's export trade therefore moves by truck: air freight is tendered at Jaipur (JAI, about 340 km) or Delhi (DEL, about 600 km), while containers roll to the Gujarat ports of Mundra and Kandla.
