## Description

Roughly 1.25 million passengers, 961.4 tonnes of cargo and just under 12,900 aircraft movements in 2025 sum up Jingzhou Shashi Airport (SHS/ZHJZ), a young domestic airport in Hubei province that only opened on 30 January 2021. Cargo moves as belly freight on domestic services; no dedicated cargo terminal or scheduled freighter operation is confirmed at Shashi. Industry along the middle Yangtze is nonetheless unusually well served: Wuhan Tianhe (WUH) lies about 220 road kilometres to the east, and Ezhou Huahu (EHU), Asia's first purpose-built cargo airport and the SF Express hub, is roughly 290 kilometres away.
