## Description

A departure every few minutes at peak: the Jeju–Gimpo corridor is the busiest air route in the world, and the belly holds of those jets carry the volcanic island's mandarins, seafood and fresh produce to mainland Korea. Jeju International (CJU) is served by Korean Air, Asiana and the country's low-cost carriers, plus international links to Japan, China and Southeast Asia driven mainly by tourism. A dedicated cargo centre handles the agricultural and fresh-food logistics; pure freighters play almost no role. International air freight from the island is generally routed via Incheon, while heavy goods take the ferry from Jeju port. The chronically congested field has prompted years of planning for a second island airport. For forwarders, CJU is above all a fast domestic channel for perishables.
