Opened in December 2002 specifically to fly tourists into the keys, Jardines del Rey Airport (IATA: CCC, ICAO: MUCC) on Cayo Coco in Cuba's Ciego de Ávila province has never taken on a freight role. Air freight into Cuba moves through José Martí International in Havana (HAV), about 500 kilometres west, with container traffic concentrated at the port of Mariel.
