Closed to scheduled traffic for three years, Japura Airport (IATA: RGT, ICAO: WIBJ) at Rengat is flying again: services lapsed in early 2022, partly as a consequence of the pandemic, until Wings Air reopened the Pekanbaru–Rengat route on 28 March 2025 with two weekly rotations, followed in 2026 by a thrice-weekly link to Batam.
