Trainee pilots, not freighters, own the circuit at Jakkur Aerodrome in northern Bengaluru. The field has hosted the Government Flying Training School since the late 1940s, making it one of India's oldest flying schools, and today it handles training aircraft, helicopters and the occasional airshow balloon. There are no scheduled passenger services, no cargo flights, no freight terminal, no customs facilities and no IATA code.
