## Description

Four hundred to five hundred aircraft movements a day, two 4,000-foot runways and not one gram of scheduled freight: Jacksonville Executive at Craig (IATA: CRG, ICAO: KCRG) is a pure business and general-aviation airport eight miles east of downtown Jacksonville, close to the Atlantic beaches. Private jets, charter operators, flight schools and helicopters share the field; there is no cargo terminal, no freighter traffic and no customs facility for imports. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority runs CRG alongside the city's three other airports, which keeps the division of labour tidy. Air cargo and express shipments are handled at Jacksonville International (JAX) to the north, which is also the customs port of entry, while Cecil Airport (VQQ) to the west offers a far longer runway for outsize charters and industrial aviation. On the ground, Interstates 95 and 295 plus the JAXPORT marine terminals carry north-east Florida's real goods traffic by sea, rail and road. The airport is named for James E. Craig, a naval officer killed at Pearl Harbor in 1941.
