## Description

Civil aviation at Ivano-Frankivsk International (IFO/UKLI) stopped on 24 February 2022, when Ukrainian airspace was closed to civilian traffic, and it has not resumed since. A Russian missile strike hit the civilian side of the airport on 11 March 2022 and caused substantial damage; the field is currently in military use. Before the war it sat about 4.4 kilometres from the city centre, served as the access point to the Carpathian resorts and ranked among Ukraine's ten busiest, with a terminal rated at up to 400 passengers per hour.
