The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) alone decides the future of Ishurdi Airport (IATA: IRD, ICAO: VGIS), and as of 2026 the field in Natore District still has no scheduled flights of any kind. Biman Bangladesh served it until 1996; United Airways revived the Dhaka link in November 2013 but withdrew by mid-2014.
