## Description

Scheduled service at Inta Airport (IATA: INA, ICAO: UUYI) was restored in October 2013, when Komiaviatrans resumed twice-weekly L-410 flights to Syktyvkar; in 2022 the field was struck from Russia's register of civil aerodromes. It lies two kilometres north of the mining town of Inta in the subarctic Komi Republic and offers a concrete runway 02/20 of roughly 1,450 metres, sized for light regional types only. There is no cargo terminal, no freighter operation and no customs post, and the airport has never handled air freight in any meaningful volume. Regional goods travel instead on the Pechora railway along the Vorkuta-Moscow axis and on seasonal winter roads. Usinsk (USK) and Vorkuta (VKT) are the nearest operating airports, while Syktyvkar (SCW), the republic's capital, provides the workable air connection towards Moscow.
