Lufthansa Cargo brought New Delhi back into its freighter network for the summer 2026 schedule, lifting the German carrier to six weekly services from 29 March 2026 — one signal among many that Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) remains India's premier air cargo gateway. Northern India's pharma plants in Baddi, garment units in Noida and Gurugram and auto-parts makers across Haryana feed the export mix, now joined by fast-growing e-commerce. With no seaport nearby, Delhi leans on air-road combinations and the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor towards the ports of Mumbai and Mundra.
