## Description

Iğdır Şehit Bülent Aydın Airport (IGD) lies in the far east of Turkey near the borders with Armenia, Azerbaijan (Nakhchivan) and Iran. AJet connects the regional airport, opened in 2012, mainly with Istanbul and Ankara. There is no cargo handling; air freight for the region is routed via Gaziantep (GZT, approx. 700 km) or as belly cargo through the Istanbul hubs.
