On Iceland's south-east coast at the mouth of the Hornafjörður fjord, Hornafjörður Airport (IATA: HFN, ICAO: BIHN) is the lifeline airfield for Höfn, the self-styled "Lobster Capital of Northern Europe." The state operator Isavia runs the field, and in 2026 Icelandair is the sole carrier, serving Reykjavík (RKV) four days a week with around 22 departures a month.
