Holingol Huolinhe Airport (IATA: HUO, ICAO: ZBHZ) handled 5.9 tonnes of cargo in the whole of 2021 — a figure that says more about its freight role than any description of its buildings. Opened in June 2017 some 30 kilometres south-west of the mining city of Holingol in eastern Inner Mongolia, it recorded around 100,000 passengers and roughly 1,900 aircraft movements in the same year.
