## Description

Scheduled flights returned to Hisar's Maharaja Agrasen Airport (HSS/VIHR) in April 2025, and IndiGo, Star Air and Alliance Air now link this Haryana industrial city with Delhi, Chandigarh, Dehradun, Dharamshala and Ayodhya under the UDAN regional scheme. Air freight handling does not yet exist here: no operating cargo building, no customs post, no integrator station. A new complex with passenger and cargo terminals plus an ATC tower had its foundation stone laid in April 2025 with a build time given as about two years, and Haryana is separately pursuing an integrated aviation and cargo project whose USTDA-backed technical assistance has, according to Tribune reporting, stalled. Until that changes, the agriculture, steel and textile businesses around Hisar ship their air exports through Delhi (DEL), roughly 180 km southeast on the NH-9 corridor, with Amritsar (ATQ) as a northern alternative.
