## Description

Three Boeing 777F rotations a week to Liège and four Kalitta Air frequencies to Chicago: since 2025, Hefei Xinqiao (HFE) has scheduled intercontinental freighter capacity of its own. The airport serves Anhui's provincial capital, one of China's fastest-growing manufacturing bases — NIO is headquartered here, BYD, JAC and Volkswagen Anhui build vehicles, and BOE produces displays, so batteries, EV components and electronics dominate the export mix. China Cargo Airlines, Kalitta Air and SF Airlines are among the cargo operators, supplemented by extensive belly capacity on a dense domestic network. Customs and bonded handling run under the Anhui Pilot Free Trade Zone, whose Hefei area covers the airport. The city is also a China–Europe rail port, sits on the G3 and G40 expressways and has barge access towards the Yangtze. For higher intercontinental frequencies, forwarders combine HFE with Shanghai Pudong (PVG), about 450 kilometres east.
