## Description

A 2,200-metre runway laid across decapitated karst peaks makes Hechi Jinchengjiang (HCJ) look like an aircraft carrier in the mountains of northwestern Guangxi. Opened in 2014 after years of earthmoving, the airport handles only a thin schedule of passenger flights and has no cargo terminal, freighter service or customs facilities. Air freight for the area — including output from the tin and non-ferrous metal mines around Nandan — routes through Nanning Wuxu (NNG), some 250 kilometres south.
