## Description

A 2,200-metre runway and a 4,200-square-metre terminal set the limits at Hechi Jinchengjiang Airport (HCJ/ZGHC) in Guangxi: no freighter aircraft are handled here and cargo travels as incidental belly load on regional jets. Opened on 28 August 2014 and built on Jiantang Mountain about 40 km from the city centre, it sits 677 metres above sea level, the highest field in Guangxi. China Express Airlines is the sole operator, linking Hechi with Chongqing, Guilin, Guiyang and Huizhou; there are no international services and consequently no air cargo customs post. The Hechi region lives on non-ferrous metals - tin, zinc and lead - and on silk production, goods that move by road and rail rather than by air, and the Guiyang-Nanning high-speed railway opened in 2023 has sharpened that land connection. Forwarders route airfreight through Nanning Wuxu (NNG) some 250 road kilometres south, Guangxi's main gateway towards South-East Asia, or Guilin Liangjiang (KWL) a similar distance to the north-east.
