## Description

Some 213.7 million pounds — roughly 97,000 tonnes — crossed the cargo ramps at Harry Reid International in 2025, down from about 253 million pounds the year before. The airport, renamed from McCarran in 2021, serves the Las Vegas Strip with around 58 million passengers a year and logged 586,046 aircraft movements in 2025, the fifth-busiest tally in the world. Freight is concentrated in the Marnell Air Cargo Center, a 200,000-square-foot twin-building complex opened in 2010, with FedEx occupying one building and UPS, Southwest Cargo and independent handlers the other. Belly capacity in one of the densest domestic networks of the American West does the rest — when CES fills the convention center each January, exhibition freight rides along by the tonne. Foreign-Trade Zone 89, administered by the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance, covers all of Clark County and includes 160 acres of air cargo land on the field itself. By road, I-15 links Las Vegas to Los Angeles and Salt Lake City, the future I-11 corridor points toward Phoenix, and the Union Pacific main line runs through the valley; the seaports of Los Angeles/Long Beach are a four-hour bonded-truck run away. Heavy charter freighters usually position via LAX or Ontario, but for express, belly and trade-show logistics LAS is Nevada's first call.
