## Description

Established in 1946 as the home of the Ethiopian Air Force, Harar Meda is a military airfield at Bishoftu (Debre Zeyit) rather than a commercial airport. It hosts the air force's main base, training centre and maintenance operations, and access is tightly controlled; no scheduled passenger or cargo services operate here.
