## Description

Soekarno-Hatta handles the bulk of Jakarta's air freight, yet Halim Perdanakusuma (HLP) has carved out a cargo niche of its own. Freighter operator My Indo Airlines is based here, and the Lion Group has opened an east-Jakarta cargo facility rated at roughly 150 tonnes a day. Operators such as PT Trans Aviasi Sinergi and Jasindo Cargo run domestic and limited international shipments from Halim. The site is also an air-force base, Lanud Halim, with a 3,000-metre runway; in August 2025 Citilink and Batik Air shifted several scheduled routes back to Soekarno-Hatta to prioritise military use.
