## Description

Uganda's upgrade programme, confirmed by President Museveni in January 2025, defines Gulu Airport (IATA: ULU, ICAO: HUGU) today: a 3,100-metre runway able to take a Boeing 767, but still no operating cargo terminal. The works cover runway resurfacing, a new apron and taxiway, a control tower, firefighting capability and both passenger and cargo terminals, aimed at international standard ahead of the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
