## Description

Charter brokers occasionally list LHK, but Guanghua Airport (ICAO ZHGH) near Laohekou in Hubei province is in practice a Chinese military air base, and public flight data show no scheduled civil or cargo operations. There is no cargo terminal, no customs clearance and no commercial handling agent on site. Air freight for the Xiangyang region — home to a major Dongfeng automotive cluster — moves through Xiangyang Liuji (XFN) some 80 kilometres east, or through Wuhan Tianhe (WUH). Time-critical shipments can also use Ezhou Huahu (EHU), Asia's first dedicated freighter airport and the home base of SF Express, roughly 350 kilometres to the southeast. Overland, the G55 and G70 expressways and the Hankou–Danjiangkou railway tie the area into the Wuhan corridor, so road feeder service remains the workable answer.
