## Description

FedEx runs its Asia-Pacific hub at Guangzhou Baiyun, joined on the apron by UPS, Etihad Cargo, CMA CGM Air Cargo, Korean Air Cargo, Lufthansa Cargo and Air France Cargo. The airport moved about 2.44 million tonnes of cargo and mail in 2025, returning to the world's top ten and ranking ninth. China Southern Airlines is based here, adding belly capacity to the freight offer. Typical exports are electronics, apparel and e-commerce parcels from the Guangdong manufacturing belt, cleared through bonded zones and express lanes of the Guangdong free-trade zone. The opening of Terminal 3 in October 2025, with two further runways, lifts cargo capacity to 3.8 million tonnes and eventually six million. Expressways, metro and high-speed rail link the site to Guangzhou, Foshan and the wider Greater Bay Area. For forwarders, Baiyun remains southern China's principal freight gateway.
