## Description

Guangyuan claims fame as the birthplace of Wu Zetian, China's only empress, and its airport carries the name Panlong — "coiled dragon". Built on a plateau in northern Sichuan, GYS links the city with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou and other major cities, but freight stays marginal: roughly 380 tonnes of cargo and mail per year, all belly-hold.
