## Description

Guangyuan claims fame as the birthplace of Wu Zetian, China's only empress, and its airport carries the name Panlong — "coiled dragon". Built in the hills of northern Sichuan, GYS (ICAO ZUGU) links the city with Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou, yet freight stays marginal at roughly 380 tonnes of cargo and mail a year, all of it belly-hold.
