## Description

In the agricultural heart of the Mississippi Delta, Greenwood-Leflore Airport (GWO, ICAO KGWO) works as a towered regional field for crop-spraying and business flying rather than as a freight point, with no scheduled airline or cargo services. The roughly 330-hectare site sits about ten kilometres east of Greenwood and holds runways 18/36 and 05/23. Regional air freight moves through Memphis International (MEM), home of the largest FedEx sorting operation worldwide and roughly two hours' drive north, or through Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International (JAN) to the south. Imports and exports are therefore cleared at MEM or JAN, with road legs on US-82 and Interstate 55.
