## Description

19,500 tonnes in 2025, up 4.4% on the previous year: Graz Airport (GRZ/LOWG) posted a cargo record built largely on urgent automotive freight from Styrian industry, including Magna Steyr and powertrain developer AVL. No scheduled freighters operate here; volumes travel as belly cargo under scheduled flights, on occasional charters and above all by road feeder trucking to the Vienna hub. The site at Feldkirchen near Graz offers cargo handling, warehousing and customs clearance, with ground handling provided by Swissport. On the passenger side the airport counted 831,095 travellers in 2025 and 366,158 in the first half of 2026 – essentially flat – while aircraft movements fell 4.8% to 10,625; BA Euroflyer added a London-Gatwick link in November 2025. Intercontinental volumes are consolidated at Vienna-Schwechat (VIE), some 200 kilometres north, with Ljubljana (LJU) and Klagenfurt (KLU) as regional alternatives. A ground-mounted photovoltaic plant of around 16 MWp is planned on airport land in a first construction stage.
