## Description

Some 119,700 passengers used Kaluga (Grabtsevo) Airport (IATA: KLF, ICAO: UUBC) in 2024, served by Azimuth, Severstal and UVT Aero on mainly domestic Russian routes. Reopened in May 2015 after fourteen years of closure, the field has no freighter operations; even at its 2019 peak it handled only about 645 tonnes of belly cargo. Air freight for the Kaluga industrial region — known for its automotive and supplier plants — effectively routes through the Moscow airports (chiefly Sheremetyevo, SVO) some 190 km to the northeast. Operations have also been suspended at short notice on several occasions due to airspace restrictions (including December 2023 and December 2024). For forwarders, KLF is a passenger field rather than a standalone cargo point.
