## Description

American Eagle, Bahamasair and Pineapple Air carry essentially all scheduled traffic at Governor's Harbour Airport (GHB/MYEM), the second busiest of Eleuthera's three airfields. Miami is the main US link, with seasonal service to Charlotte, while Bahamasair and Pineapple Air run the short hop to Nassau. A renovated passenger terminal opened in August 2025 as visitor numbers to the island grew. The airport has no dedicated cargo facilities, no cold chain and no separate air-cargo customs post, so freight moves as belly load on those passenger flights. Heavier or bulkier consignments for the island route through Nassau (NAS) and continue by mailboat or coastal freighter to Eleuthera's harbours.
