## Description

Not every construction site becomes a logistics option: Gonghe Air Base in Qinghai's Hainan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture is a military project with no civilian operations and no cargo infrastructure, existing or announced. The surrounding Gonghe basin is better known for the Talatan solar zone, one of the largest photovoltaic complexes in the world, next to the Longyangxia hydropower dam. Freight for the region moves by road and is flown out of Xining Caojiabu (XNN), roughly 150 kilometres to the north-east.
