## Description

A single terminal with four tarmac stands, a 1,310-metre sealed runway usable at night and three grass strips define the operating envelope of Gisborne Airport (IATA: GIS, ICAO: NZGS) on New Zealand's east coast, which handles roughly 150,000 passengers a year. Air New Zealand serves Auckland and Wellington with turboprops and Sunair links Hamilton, Napier, Tauranga and Whakatāne; freight travels in belly holds only, as there is no cargo terminal and no freighter operation.
