A runway opened in December 2022, more than 3,000 metres long and 45 metres wide, gives Fujairah International Airport (IATA: FJR, ICAO: OMFJ) the ability to take heavy freighters — an unusual asset for an airport with a single terminal shared by passengers and cargo.
