## Description

Three runways define Meacham today: a 2,287-metre concrete main strip, a 1,221-metre asphalt secondary and a third surface long since closed. Fort Worth Meacham International (IATA: FTW, ICAO: KFTW) opened in 1925 and served as the city's airline airport for decades before the jet age moved on without it. It now works as a reliever field just north of downtown, home to corporate aviation, flight schools and maintenance shops, with American Aero, Cornerstone Flight Center and Texas Jet as the on-site FBOs. Meacham is a designated airport of entry, so international business flights can be cleared by U.S. Customs and Border Protection by prior arrangement.
