## Description

A century of flying and counting: Meacham Field opened in 1925 and served as Fort Worth's main airline airport for decades before the jet age moved on without it. Today the field works as a busy reliever just north of downtown, packed with corporate jets, flight schools and maintenance shops, plus a vintage aircraft museum for good measure. There is no scheduled service and no air cargo handling, but the neighbourhood compensates: Alliance Airport lies minutes to the north and DFW half an hour east. History on the ramp, freight next door.
