## Description

A gold-rush town that has reinvented itself around farming, Forbes sits in the Central West of New South Wales, and its airport (FRB) reflects that: a general-aviation, charter and agricultural-flying field with no scheduled passenger services. The airport itself plays no freight role; goods for the district travel along the Newell Highway and, increasingly, on the Inland Rail whose hub is taking shape at nearby Parkes, about 38 km away.
