## Description

SATA Air Açores is the sole scheduled carrier at Flores Airport (IATA: FLW, ICAO: LPFL), flying Dash 8 turboprops between the westernmost inhabited island of the Azores and Horta, Terceira, Ponta Delgada and neighbouring Corvo. Operated by ANA Aeroportos de Portugal, the airport at Santa Cruz das Flores works with a single 1,400-metre asphalt runway rebuilt and lengthened in 2005, and handled roughly 55,000 passengers a year according to the most recent published figure (2016).
