Granada-Jaén moves over a million passengers a year and virtually no freight: the Federico García Lorca airport (IATA: GRX, ICAO: LEGR) closed 2025 with 1,152,872 travellers, up 1.7 percent, while air cargo throughput stayed at effectively zero tonnes. Operated by Aena and set about 15 kilometres west of Granada in Andalusia, it is a tourism gateway to the Alhambra, the Sierra Nevada and the Costa Tropical, flown by Vueling, Ryanair and Iberia on mostly domestic routes plus a few links to the Netherlands and France.
