## Description

ENFG still appears in navigation databases, but Fagernes Airport Leirin has been closed since 1 July 2018 and handles no commercial traffic of any kind. Avinor shut the field in Nord-Aurdal, Innlandet, after scheduled services had already ended on 31 March 2016 and no viable local arrangement emerged for the airport, which opened in 1987 at roughly 822 metres above sea level. It has been on the market since 2021 without a serious buyer, and the only movements today are light aircraft of the local flying club. The site's next life is energy rather than aviation: Avinor has contracted the energy company Aneo to build a solar power plant on the disused airfield.
