## Description

Despite an ICAO code and constant flying activity, Eskişehir Air Base (IATA: ESK, ICAO: LTBI) is closed to commercial traffic: it is a Turkish Air Force installation on the edge of the western Anatolian industrial city. It hosts the 1st Main Jet Base Command and the 1st Air Supply and Maintenance Center Command, where combat aircraft are overhauled and engines refurbished. There is consequently no freight terminal, no ground handling agent and no customs post for commercial air cargo; military supply flights follow their own procedures and are not open to shippers.
