## Description

Roughly 6,000 flights and some 54,000 helicopter passengers a year make Esbjerg (IATA: EBJ, ICAO: EKEB) Denmark's leading airport for offshore aviation. CHC Helicopter and Bristow fly from western Jutland to the oil, gas and increasingly wind installations of the North Sea, with more than eleven helicopter and fixed-wing departures on a typical day, while scheduled services connect Esbjerg with Copenhagen. The airport genuinely handles freight through these supply flights and specialises in bulky and heavy consignments for the offshore sector, but it runs no conventional air-cargo terminal and has no freighter services.
