## Description

A new terminal and a runway sized for aircraft up to the Boeing 757 sit almost unused: Enrique Adolfo Jimenez Airport (ONX/MPEJ) at Colón handled only 285 passengers across 1,598 aircraft movements in the first five months of 2026, according to figures from state operator Tocumen S.A. Rebuilt in 2013, the airport holds international status but carries no meaningful scheduled service, and what traffic exists is largely charter and general aviation.
