## Description

Once celebrated as Argentina's first low-cost airport and now closed to airlines, El Palomar (EPA) tells a tale of two eras. Flybondi and JetSmart operated here from 2018 until commercial flights ceased in 2020, after which the field on the western edge of Greater Buenos Aires reverted to use by the Air Force and a flight school. There is no scheduled passenger or cargo service today, and the metropolitan area's air freight is handled at Buenos Aires-Ezeiza (EZE), the national cargo gateway some 30 km to the south. For forwarders, EPA currently has no place in the civil supply chain.
