## Description

El Borma (EBM/DTTR) is run for the oil industry rather than for the freight market: the desert field in Tunisia's far south, close to the Algerian border, sits directly beside the El Borma oil and gas field operated by SITEP, a joint venture between state company ETAP and Italy's Eni. Its roughly 2,700-metre asphalt runway could physically take large aircraft, but movements consist essentially of crew rotations for the field's workforce plus occasional company supply flights. The field itself had produced a cumulative 742 million barrels by the end of 2023 and lifted output by four per cent in 2024, which sets the rhythm of the flying here.
