## Description

No commercial shipment clears Dyess Air Force Base (IATA: DYS, ICAO: KDYS): this is a closed United States Air Force installation on the western edge of Abilene, Texas, not a freight facility. It hosts the 7th Bomb Wing with its B-1B Lancer fleet under Air Force Global Strike Command and, as a tenant unit, the 317th Airlift Wing flying C-130J transports for Air Mobility Command. There is no public access, no scheduled service, no cargo terminal and no commercial handling agent on the base. Civil traffic uses neighbouring Abilene Regional Airport (ABI), served by American Airlines through Envoy Air and by United with feeder flights to Dallas/Fort Worth.
