## Description

Some 6,000 tonnes of air cargo a year pass through the Dortmund Airport Cargo-Service in Hall 8, a deliberately narrow business built around dangerous-goods packing and handling to IATA DGR, backed by customs clearance on site and forwarders such as NOSTA Group. Dortmund Airport (DTM/EDLW) in the eastern Ruhr has no freighter services or integrator hub, so that tonnage comes from belly capacity and road feeder services. On the passenger side, North Rhine-Westphalia's third-busiest commercial airport closed 2025 at a record of roughly 3.24 million passengers, about 3.5 per cent above the previous high of 3,132,707 set in 2024, with Wizz Air alone accounting for 2.56 million; the first half of 2026 added a further 1.6 million or so.
